The campaign to put a “227-like” initiative on the Arizona ballot began on Wednesday, with a burst of local media coverage (articles attached). Although pro-bilingual demonstrators led an aggressive protest against “English for the Children of Arizona”, public opinion polls show overwhelming public support for the measure at 70% or more.
The full history and origins of the Arizona campaign are now available on a special “News” section of our web site, www.YesOn227.org.
